1. INTRODUCTION AND APPLICATION

This joint report (the “Report”) is prepared by Synergy Ag Services Inc. and represents its affiliated companies Synergy Ag Services – Govan Ltd., Synergy Ag Services – Balcarres Ltd., Synergy Ag Services – Grenfell Ltd., Synergy Ag Services – Lajord/Lewvan Ltd., Synergy Ag Services – Lumsden Ltd., Synergy Ag Services – Provost Ltd., Synergy Ag Services – St. Brieux Ltd and Synergy Ag Services – Yorkton Ltd  (collectively, “SynergyAG”, “Entity”, “we” or “our”) in compliance with the requirements of the Canadian Fighting Against Forced Labour in Supply Chains Act (the “Act”) with respect to the period from February 1, 2023 to January 31, 2024.

  1. STEPS TAKEN TO PREVENT AND REDUCE THE RISKS THAT FORCED LABOR OR CHILD LABOR IS USED

In 2024, we reached out to our largest suppliers (both brokers and distribution) partners to ensure they are complying with the Act. These partners comprised most of our purchases in the reporting year.

  1. STRUCTURE, ACTIVITIES AND SUPPLY CHAINS

Synergy Ag Services Inc., a corporation formed under the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan, is engaged in selling and distributing agricultural crop inputs in the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan and Alberta.  Affiliated companies are Synergy Ag Services – Govan Ltd., Synergy Ag Services – Balcarres Ltd., Synergy Ag Services – Grenfell Ltd., Synergy Ag Services – Lajord/Lewvan Ltd., Synergy Ag Services – Lumsden Ltd., Synergy Ag Services – Provost Ltd., Synergy Ag Services – St. Brieux Ltd and Synergy Ag Services – Yorkton Ltd.

Synergy Ag Services Inc, and its affiliated companies sell goods within Canada and purchase all goods through a Canadian business, either distributor, manufacturer, or broker.

  1. POLICIES, GOVERNANCE AND DUE DILIGENCE PROCESSES

We will continue to check supplier partner websites for a declaration of compliance with the Act.

  1. PARTS OF ENTITY’S BUSINESS AND SUPPLY CHAINS THAT CARRY A RISK OF FORCED LABOR AND CHILD LABOR AND STEPS TAKEN TO ASSESS AND MANAGE THE RISK THAT FORCED LABOR OR CHILD LABOR IS BEING USED IN ENTITY’S OPERATIONS AND SUPPLY CHAIN

We have not started the process of identifying parts of our activities and supply chains that carry a risk of forced labor or child labor being used.

  1. REMEDIATION MEASURES

We have not identified any forced labor or child labor in our activities and supply chains thus measures have not been taken to remediate or eliminate any forced labor or child labor in activities and supply chains, including any measures that would involve the potential loss of income to vulnerable families.

  1. TRAINING

We do not currently provide training to employees on forced labor and/or child labor.

  1. ASSESSING EFFECTIVENESS

We do not currently have policies or procedures in place to assess our effectiveness in ensuring forced labor and child labor are not being used in activities and supply chains.

  1. APPROVAL AND ATTESTATION

This Report was approved pursuant to subparagraph 11(4)(b)(ii) of the Act by the Board of Directors of Synergy Ag Services Inc., and authorized representation of each of the affiliated companies, for the financial year ended January 31, 2024.
