SynergyAG announces new Retail Location in Yorkton, Saskatchewan

For immediate release: June 26, 2018 

Yorkton, Saskatchewan – SynergyAG is excited to announce a new retail operation to service Yorkton and the surrounding area.  This new location will be anchored by Marc Dubreuil, Grant Neil and Bev Fookes, who are all well known for their long standing commitment to serving customers in independent agricultural retail.

SynergyAG is an independent chain of agricultural retail locations focusing on seed genetics, crop protection, crop nutrition and agronomy services with operations in Govan, SK, Lumsden, SK, Lewvan, SK, Provost, AB, Pense, SK and Balcarres, SK (under development).  The Yorkton location will commence construction in August 2018 on Highway 9, just south of the city.  The main warehouse and office is projected to be operational by mid-October.

During this past December, we partnered with our local drugstore and had a “Santa for Seniors” where we accepted donations to give to Continuing Care in order to purchase some items for recreation. SynergyAG Provost also matched the donations, and with the money, the following items were purchased by Recreation in Continuing Care

April 30,2018:

The Cimbria Heid treater is up and running in Lumsden. One impressive machine! The system provides improved seed coverage and more uniform distribution of treatment material on the seed compared to traditional continuously operating drum or screw-type coaters.

 

2017:

Pense, Saskatchewan – Plains West Ag Services Ltd of Pense, SK has joined SynergyAG. As an independent crop input retailer, Plains West Ag Services has been owned and operated by the Wood family since 2004.

SynergyAG opens four new crop input retail locations in Western Canada


For immediate release: September 7, 2016

Govan, Saskatchewan – Prairie farmers have a new option in crop inputs and agronomic advice. SynergyAG, an independent chain of retail locations, begins operations this fall.

“SynergyAG is the natural progression of our family’s 60 years in seed and crop nutrition retail,” said Brad Hanmer, President and CEO of SynergyAG. The Hanmer family also runs a fifth-generation farm in the Govan area. “We’re investing in Western Canada and in farmers who want the best mix of products and agronomic advice.”

The first four SynergyAG locations:

  1. Govan, Sask.: Construction is underway at a new full-service facility featuring a state-of-the-art high-throughput seed treatment facility, the first of its kind in Saskatchewan. Opens: Winter 2016
  2. Lewvan, Sask.: SynergyAG has recommissioned an existing full-service facility. Opens: Fall 2016
  3. Lumsden, Sask.: Working with local ag industry partners, SynergyAG will build a ground-up facility. Opens: Fall 2017
  4. Provost, Alta.: SynergyAG’s first Alberta location will serve the east-central part of the province. Opens: Fall 2017
